Well since me and me dad were both off work today we decided to hit the pier at last light and see what was about.
got there for about 9.30 water was not half as murky as friday so me dad got setup on the bait and i decided to try the spinner hoping for a few maccy. after about 15 mins i got a small whiting on the spinner but nothing else.
me dad then got the his first whiting after about 2 minutes. then it was a fish a cast more or less after that. small whiting then after darkness came the whiting were a decent stamp. i pulled in two at a time on my pennel. then at about 3 the codling came out for us. dad pulled in one and i had two biggest was just on a pound. Was hoping for them to get bigger but then it starting to rain so after an hour of getting wet we packed in.

we must of had about 13-14 whiting each and 3 codling between us. dad also got a pouting aswel. kept 3 whiting and the biggest codling as they were too deep hooked so best to keep them. cracking night to be out shame about the rain as had plenty of bait. we used fresh peeler, lug, maccy and prawn. codling took on prawn and fresh crab.
