Lowrance gps maps

Just ordered the lowrance elite-4 off eBay will b here tomorrow, new to the electric side and got told need to get maps for this, company I bought from priced me £117 for this, is there any cheaper solution or any sites can download maps from or is it something I need to buy?? Cheers in advance

That's what I'm hoping, my mates ordered the lowrance for me nd got crossed wires its £170 not £117! This boating getting expensive haha trying to kkeep cost down to get started

i am afraid it runs from navionics gold card which are about £170

I ano mate, if read post after I thought he said 117 but he said 170! A lot of money I say! What's the chances of picking up a second hand one do you think?

you may pick up a used one on ebay but these may be out of date
you can get them updated but this still costs £98 you do not see many for the northeast, mainly south coast. Do not try and copy one onto another
card as this just corrupts the origional.Navionics has got it all there way either buy new or second hand and update i have searched high and low for a way but had to buy i needed 3

I've been ater a navionics gold card for ages, i check ebay regular but they rarely come up. The full UK chart is around £170 or you can get a small chart for around £120 which covers just the NE coast...

Cheers lads, looks like il just have to cough up, found the same unit with a card for 299 but after I'd bought it, at well another lesson learned! Il b clued up soon lol
