Out the marina at 6am as planned and straight upto souter, grey miserable morning and thought I won't be out long if this doesn't get better, into fish straight away mainly fish about 2lb, and most going back odd one upto 3lb, had 2 hrs of good fishing at times lure hitting bottom once and a fish taking, seemed like a switch had been thrown and fish just stopped, upto this point all fish were coming up spewing out mouthfuls of baby sandeels, must have been thick with them down there.
After another 2 hrs of moving about all of a sudden fish switched back on again, drift slowed down lovely, sun started to peek through and had another hour of really hectic fishing, this time got away with light gear and a 3oz leadhead bouncing on the bottom, kept 16 fish all around 3lb but must have thrown back 30 smaller fish, great mornings fishing and moored up in bright sunshine ready for a relaxing afternoon with a beer or two!!!

Cracking catch, we had an hour or so off Souter, few fish here and there but nothing great, sounds like it was a case of waiting for the switch.

Anothe great catch Dave, :) you like those Tiger Twintails dont you..:)

But your O.C.D with the C.O.D is slipping......the fish at the bottom of the pics is out of line with the rest of them.....:D:D;)

Ha ha, that was on purpose to see how observant you are!

I do like them twin tails, probably would catch on other stuff but confidence seems to keep me sticking to them, have to say they move well when fished on their own with a bigger leadhead, thinking about getting some of them big leadheads and doing away with hopper rig all together, bit of experimenting to be done I think.
