how far do they travel?before yous say it,i dont mean by public transport.i mean ive been to certain beaches in {summer time}1000s of good casts,come this time of year NOT a cast on the beach.tried round the corner,up the road NOWT.so my question is were do they go,cant fathon it out.i ive traveled to the said beaches {not said} exspecting to FILL my bucket,wasted fuel @ time @ pee... off.

My lugworm can travel up to 100 yards or so...........usually straight out on a good cast

Atmospheric presure has a lot to do with driveing worm down and very cold weather as majority of worm beaches are shallow high presures drive worms up and low presure drives them down or the other way round hoppe that enlightens you Reg

agree with lance like you say reg seen beaches carpeted with worms then gone back and the bulk of them gone but i believe they have gone that little bit deeper just beyond the point of you being able to dig them with fork spit etc i think a mini bobcat jcb would prove our theory right
