Lure Challenge 2014

It was fun taking part.
I'm determined that next year I will catch LSD's and Huss on some kind of lure. That's what I love about fishing there's always more species to catch and new methods to try.

That was a pretty close comp! Well done pointer with catching that that numer of species especially considering you joined the comp late on. An LSD or huss on the lure would add a whole new dimension to this species hunt if you manage it. Good luck!

I'm happy with second (for this year lol) but hope to add a couple more species from the sea next year.

You did well Phill mate with the little time you have to fish.

I just think that on the days when the doggies and Huss are really feeding hard a big shad or artificial eel might work. Off course the problem is I don't get to fish for them very often and if I'm having no luck and everybody is pulling in big Huss and Tope on bait it would be hard not to give up trying lol.

I think it would have to be a big lure or I'd just be hooking up whiting and cod all the time. I'm looking forward to trying anyway.
