Lure Match Idea

Just a thought for next year, kind of a twist on the lure challenge. Would anyone be up for a lure only, catch and release match. Its a working idea at the moment but something along the lines of, each angler would be given a unique tag on say a Friday night, fish all weekend, take a picture of you catch including the lure tag and a measure all pictures to be emailed to myself by midnight on the Sunday of the same weekend. Points system something like you can submit your 3 biggest of any spices, this will not only stop everyone bagging up on mackerel but also encorage people to diversify a bit, point will be on total length submitted. Maybe even make it a cash match, shore only no boundaries, might be able to sort out a 'buddy system' for the less experienced or those without cars

If someone posted a picture taken from another web site and claimed it was there own, said person would recieve a PM from myself explaining that they had be removed and explaining why, they would then be given the chance to send me the correct photo if they could not provide it they would remain disqualified. A person would be very very unlucky to lose a photo from the phone, camera, computer and recycle bin and accidentally post a picture of the same spices of fish from all the photos they may have on they computer, either that or they never caught the fish and were just trying to cheat.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Scotty, don't be like that mate. You obviously cheated and it was spotted a mile away by a few people, including me, so don't give Phil a hard time it's not his fault, it would be an extraordinary coincidence otherwise, theres no way you could put the wrong picture in two seperate posts and comment on them without realising. Just take it on the chin mate. Your more than welcome to enter the lure fishing comp next year and you'l do really well with your passion for it. It's obvious to everyone on here how passionate you are about your fishing so don't let a daft post spoil it.

Am not a cheat and my phone did up lode rong pic then a lost my phone to do cude nt uploade ryt pic but have every outha fish a coght part from pollock but no point in reposting tham

Scotty, 'phones' don't upload wrong pics, 'people' upload wrong pics. To do that twice and to comment on it several times without realising is truly unbelievable. Your dragging something out unnecessarily.
 
Count me in, sounds like a really good idea. Don't mind sharing my car for those without transport. Any event that brings people together like that has to be good for the sport. Excellent idea for catch and release too. Nice one.

There was no mention of losing your phone at the time you said on your post "sorry lads thats the rong pic av put on dopy me a cnt seam to finde the ryt one", and a similar PM was sent to me. Scotty even if it was an innocent mistake, it was your mistake, i tried to handle the situation discretely and tried to be as fair to yourself and the other members fishing as possible. Its time to man up Scotty and stop blaming everyone and everything but yourself.
 
What do a need to man up about a told you a put rong pic on str8t away than u ban me and a hade put a post on ya saying a lost my phone at end ov day what pees me off iz that one am not a cheat two was any thing a was winning to do with fishing Neva won nawt be4 and 3rd iz that got no worning just a str8t ban for a daft mastake ?
 
Sorry Scotty I thought I made it clear in my last post, stop blaming everyone I.E me, stop blaming everything I.E your phone uploading the wrong picture and accept that you were removed from this years challenge because YOU either tried to cheat or because YOU uploaded a picture of a fish YOU didn't catch and that YOU downloaded of someone elses web site, and then YOU lost the photo or phone whichever it is now and that YOU couldnt provide a photo of the fish YOU apparently caught.

At end ov day just for get it in my eyes a wood ov won it any ways so and next time at least Give people a worning r sumthing and aye stated it was rong pic and a lost my phone so end ov
 
I think the most sensible saying I ever learned was:

"When you are in a hole.......................stop digging!

Or at least keep the digging in the privacy of the PM system :red:

Sounds like an interesting idea. If I could get the time (and permission lol) to fish all weekend that would be great but it is unlikely :rolleyes: If it was a one day comp I would be up for it though.
