Lure Rod for Bass Recommendation?

Alreet all!

Question for you lure fisherman! Not for me, but for a mate who lives in Birmingham and is hoping to do so Bass fishing around the Bristol area. So what would you's recommend for an entry level lure rod for bass??

He asked me if this one is any good, but I have no idea! other than it seems a little on the short side!

It looks ideal mate, I've never used one myself but I think thy are quite popular.

I use one of these

Savagear Bushwhacker XLNT 8' (10-40g) - Monster Tackle

its pretty much the same spec as the one he's asked for.

The Teklon's have a very good reputation as good value for money rods, but then again so does the Bushy.

Teklon best bushwsker is bsrgain but id still ptefer tro. More versate

He needs a rod that will cast anything from 10 -40 grams
Also length wise IDE recommend 8ft-9ft with a medium- to fast action tip
On rod!! That's if he is using SP and diving lures !!! Or a stiffish tip if he's
Using surface lures!!
IDE recommend the shimano stradic
I've used one and they are a very nice rod to use
They respond well and you can feel what
The lure is doing bit 99% is having confidence
In the lure !! If u don't have confidence
Your just chucking a bit of plastic in the water
You need to get the lure working nicely
To entice any predatory fish to strike .

Length is 2.7m and it has a fast action tip wich
Works diving lures great but rod comes in

Im seeing a lot of good reports about the shimano stradic all over the net must be a realy good rod entry level wise for the money
