fished right of the pipe yesterday and never caught owt however my cousin adn his stepson managed to catch a codlin and a couple of bass. baits used wer rag, runnydown, clam, mussel and squid.

all fish were returned. the young lad caught his first ever bass and was grinnin from ear to ear for the rest off the night.

how do u get onto the beach from the road, where do u park? heard its good fishing but unsure of how the beach is accessed... i may fish there over low tide sometime this week if that is a suitable time to fish it.

jwj2008 if you head for Alcan you can park in the contractors car park on the left hand side just passed the railway bridge,to access the beach just as you turn left into the car park theres a small road on your right hand side with a little path with yellow railings,walk along there and it brings you out to the back of the dunes,keep to your left and follow the sea bait place til you reach the beach.

please go careful when fishing there at low water cos i nearly went in the drink cos i didnt know about a 3-4 foot drop in the water and ended up to my chest in water cos i couldnt get my footin with the undercurrent.
