Lynemouth and Horden

Next couple of weeks due to start fishing these beaches.
Could anyone tell me is there still access via 4x4s to these venues.
If so is the access still the same as last year or has it changed.
More so Lynemouth as this was tricky last year between the concrete blocks then up over the waste ground heading south towards the old gipsy site onto the old access point then onto the beach.
Horden..10th street down the concrete road over the high ground(old coal pickers route)then onto the beach.
Any information would be welcomed.

There was still access to Horden a few month ago when I went down. Got down the way you described. Bit boggy near the base of the cliffs but should be no problem for a 4x4.

Still the same at Lynemouth mate. The blocks seem to be a bit further apart though.

You seem to have missed the part where we got stuck for over an hour in the mud

So that was how you got down, remind me never to get a lift down off you two.........crazy lol

Harry, access is the same as always for Horden mate. You can get all the way along to Mucky Bay at present.

The Pug has been many places but Horden was a bridge too far. Me and Phil were up to our eyeballs with mud after getting the car out and had to sacrifice the floor mats to jam under the wheels
