fished the beach today 12 till 6.been told its called hospital hole.first cast with a coctail bate resulted with a 5lb 14oz cod didnt see the bite and thought i had a pile of seaweed on,as the fish didnt even put up a fight until it come oot the water.over the moon as it my pb and 3rd ever cod caught !.:red:

Hi Kevin,
I was fishing just to the right of you, and that was a cracking fish you landed. In all honesty it looked bigger than it's actual weight !
Thought there might have been a few more fish around with the swell that was rolling in from time to time. I managed a bass of 1.5 lbs and three coalies (all returned)
Anyway nice to meet you, and did you get anymore bites after dark ?
