First report on the site chaps so here goes! Got down to the beech about 730pm and not surprisingly I was on my own! Poor sea but decided to give it a go anyway. Fished south end first with no joy then I switched closer to the pipe about 910pm and bang, first chuck got a really solid bite but nothing followed. Brought in rebaited with plenty of lug on top hook and peeler on the bottom. Put it out again and hit almost straight away. Another good solid bite but struck to early! Fish went for the lug. Left just before 10pm as only brought small amount of bait for a few chucks. Was casting about 80 yards out approx 150 yards right of the rocks. Going back at the weekend hopefully a better sea running and I'll hook them this time!!!
Tight lines!:)

welcome mate canny report shame about the missed ones, thinking of going down that way myself on Saturday so might see u down there, good luck.

Unlucky mate. I had four out from there on Saturday night (3 size) on crab and the bites were really gentle and timid, just the tiniest of knocks then they were lying on. Still at least you were getting bites, nowt worse than sitting looking at motionless rod tips for four hours

that's exactly how it went for me m8 the most faintest of a nock so a put me rod in me hand and had little bit bend in the tip and within seconds everything slack just kept reeling the slackthen abit of weight bingo a nice codling on lug rag and mussel

Usually the case mate. I had a sneaky suspicion my bait clips hadn't released on impact hence the sharp bites. Was fine after struck and reeled in though but had a slight doubt as the rig has failed in the past. Was using the imp2 on the bottom and cascade swivel on the top. Could also just be my paranoia of looking for an excuse for blanking!! Still I'll be out again over the weekend (using a pulley rig!!!!!) :)
