lynemouth few hours

fished lynemouth this afternoon for a few hours quite a big sea with the big tides first hoy got a 3lb2oz codling second hoy a 2lb4oz which was returned nowt more until my last cast which resulted in a 2lb2oz codling which also was returned. picture of the fish i kept which had 2 flounder about 4inches in its stomach ha just shows how big their appetite is. all caught on rag and whole squid.

Nice wee session there.I was there on saturday and the sea came in really big about 2 hours before high tide so ended up just along the coast

Hi Al,
Was that you about half way along the beach ? I was fishing about 200yds south of the pipe, and whilst the sea was big, it was fishable. However I was plagued by the dreaded weed snagging my leader knot. There was also quite a bit of rubbish in the water. Did you have this problem where you were fishing ?
Nice catch of codling there mate. I only caught one about 1.5lbs, whilst another lad just to the right of me landed one of about 4lbs.

yes mate i was in the middle of the beach, it was one of them seas were it looks like its gona be too big or get bigger until you try it thats why i prefer fishing big seas in the dark when you cant see what ur up against ha!, aye the weed and rubbish was a problem when the tide turned for me, the lad who was on the pipe seemed to be getting some action a seen him ready to strike quite a few times

Me and my mate fished bog hall yesterday and there was some lads fishing the stones towards snab point never seen them bring owt in like, But me and my mate got zip. Would'nt care conditions were perfect i fished there two weeks ago and had three 1 for 8lb and two for 1.5lb........Strange sport this
