Where is it can I have directions, what the best time and bait to fish

the pipe is behind the alcan power station. its best to park in the visiters car park at the station and walk down the fence on the south side of the station. the pipe is directly in front of the station, a scramble over the boulders, but the whole beach to the south of the pipe produces fish. rag used to fish well when the worm farm was going. but vary your baits according to season. crab early on then lug and razer straight after a good blow. its been fishing well recently.

Does the south beach fish over low water or is it too shallow then? I've only ever fished there over HT but am looking for safe LW venues as I usually fish alone.

IMHO most beaches fish better over low water, with a bit of a sea on.

the beach south of the station fishes best over high water. it will produce over low water on a poor tide. my dad prefers the beach north of the power station but does not fish it at night due to having to park the car on the road side. seen too many broken into or even set alight. best avoided
