lynemouth tonight

Well I decided to go out tonight to break my apollo in, what an excellent night, action started from the first cast, codling were there, four about 2lb, all returned alive, along with the endless amount of coalies, 1 fish kept for the table, a very nice cod - weighing in a 6lb 3, photos attached, along with measure showing 25 inches !! All fish came to lug & runnydown.

think I was the only 1 having a good night, didn't see anything else caught tonight.

The second one I lost the other night felt 5lb+, looking back through my catch diary I had 2 over 6lb and 1 over 5lb in the first couple of weeks of October last year. Heres hoping for a better stamp soon

Hello Gundog, nice fish.

I've just been fishing at Lynemouth, I fished the early morning flood tide from about 02:45a.m. to 06:00a.m.

I had six codling and a solitary poddler, weather was canny at first then the wind picked up and spoiled it a bit.

I'll post a photo later.

Nice one Gundog some canny fish there m8, we fished Lyneburn beach last night had 6 codling 4 under size two size ( all returned ). All the fish took lug baits didnt have a knock on Peeler or Razer cocktails.

beside the pipe beind the power station and further up at bog hall are the only marks there I know
