lynmouth beach

im fishing lynmouth beach i have fished it before but does anyone know what part of the beach fishes best. i know about the gully but im parking at the security hut and didnt want to walk that far.apparently the council have put up a sea defence wich makes it difficult to get that far along the beach and i dont know anywhere else to park a car safely

I know a few lads used to park in the gypsy camp ,safest place apparently ,not tried it myself ,although the camp was on the other side of the road them days ,not sure if the security is different these days Daren.

i used to park at the pump house where ther was 24hr security but have been told that is now gone, like steve says i have also heard that the gypsy camp is the safest but i have not parked there yet.
are you fishing during the day or at night daren

Yep I used to park there as well Mark ,no security there any more mate .

during the day when i have fished in the past i have just parked on the bend over the bridge, iv'e had no problems to date touch wood

with me being from ireland the gypsies are well trusted.they will look afer your car for a fair price lol unless the price of scrap has gone up again then they will probably ask you more than the price of the car only kidding mate thanks for the advice mate hopefully i will see you in the north vs south match im looking forward to it its my first time

fishing saturday night 8 till 1 mate you fancy coming down like the weather looks good westerly winds and plenty of rain .but im going to risk it you never know what might happen i recon it will fish its head off if not ill let you know on sunday if im sober cos its my birthday and im out from two in the afternoon so i will try and and let you know how i get on before i leave the house

daren its a good comp, canny lads and lasses and you get to meet some of the folk from the site.


i was told a while ago that if you ask to park up in the site and say to whoever is there you have been told the site is safe to leave my car it will be safe because what you are saying is that you trust them. i have worked for the travellers and have found the ones that i have met are very nice people

daren ive never had any probs parking at the gypsy camp no matter what time of day and night its always been safe but with me having a 4x4 now i just park on the top on the grass above the beach its out of everyones view and i usally park it closeish the top as possible so when i shine my headlamp i can see it

Would sneak the telescopic in your case and a few hooks . The mullet are quality fun with a bit of bread freelined...

As soon as your lasses head hits the pillow - oot the door Bond style...

Hi all
i have parked all times of day & night at (as they like to called now) The Travalers site at lynemouth and had no bother. first time though i wasnt sure but when i got there just before dark i drove in the site to turn the car saw some of the lads cracking on so got out car and said hi lads alright if i park up somewhere for the fishing the older of them who i took to be the head one said nee bother lad just park up next to that wagon yeel be alreet there & it was. ive always parked up out side the camp after that, just pull up on the grass or side of the road. but i suppose it the same most places nowadays who take the chance.

cheers mate can you tell me the best part of the beach to fish and do you know if its fishing at the moment .i know about the gully but is there anywhere else that fishes on the beach
