Had a session on the beach last night had 3 fish 5lb 2oz 3lb and one about 1.5 which was chucked back!
Beach will be weeded up for the next week or so now.

Well, I must say that that is a cracking bag of top quality cod mate. To say you set the standard with your catches is an understatement Rocker. I'm new to fishing and the site and always enjoy looking at what the likes of yourself post.

Just goes to show that the fish are out there if you know your sh*t and have done your homework like you obviously do mate. I'm barely out of nappies as far as fishing goes but if I can get to the standard where I have a few sessions like this a season I'll be well chuffed!

Sea was lovely mate, the seas only too big there if you can't hold bottom,
I got one of my joint pb cod there (both 12lb8oz) when the sea was absolutely massive! I had 3 casts a 4lber on the first, then the 12lber then got smashed up by a huge raft of weed, losing too much line to fish on! (diddnt have my spare)
I was a member of the newbiggin club at the time and dragged Cecil out the bar to verify it! I got the leasure hsf trophy, must have been in the early ninetys
