Took a mate out today. Plan was to try a couple of wrecks but decided to have a drop close in. It proved to be a good choice , we managed 25 keepers , all cod 3-4lb mark and all caught in 8-12mtrs of water on lures. We did try a wreck and managed a few more with a couple of pouting with a total haul of around 30 fish. Quite happy with that.

Good fishing Al, and close in wthout the need to travel far. The wreck fishing hasn't picked up yet but the numbers of fish on the rough ground are making up for it.

We only tried the one wreck and the wind was picking up from SE but there was fish on it, the ones we got were no bigger than what we had close in. I am sure some will be holding some lunkers now. ........It's finding the right one. I have my eye on one that has produced well for me before if I get the chance this week i'll have a go at it. But it's a hike so weather has to be spot on.
