Out on my own today, so started with a bit of planing for Pollock and managed two and about 6 mackies. then fished a mark no more than a mile off and managed a 12lb ling 8lb and 7lb cod and a few smaller cod and a few pouting and lost quite a few on the way up. So not too bad , and the weather was lovely.

Isn’t it rewarding when the planning pays off and you find a great stamp of fish. Well done. Did you get the pollock from a wreck?

no , I got them close in using a planer board(aquavane). It's trolling, and it's great fun.

You didnt get the ling by trolling, did you?

no, just the Pollock and mackies, I used the mackies for bait to catch the cod and ling
