Still unsure until i see with my own eyes, seems to soon to be laods of them and since no boats fishing from Amble to the pool have reported more than the odd 1 or 2 i am still abit mrrrr about loads being caught from the shore.

I really do enjoy my summer fishing, has its ups, (Plaice, mackerel, weather), and it has its downs, (chavs, idiots, cans of beer, rubbish al over).

I must admit though i love winter fishing even more... Standing on the end of the pier, flask in hand, big bait cast out into the murky depths, watching the rod tip sway with the swell, sipping tea while the chill of the northerly wind blows in your face, shivering with the cold..... and the ambition of a big cod taking your bait!:D

These are the sessions I strive for every winter, so a cant wait till then. But for now, am gonna enjoy what the summer has to offer, and have alot of fun doing it!:)

never seen any reports of them from hartlepool area and they usually get them before us but do hope they are here first light is the best no chavs up then jeff

Was at the first gate on the pier today. A few lads that passed on way back in said there was mackerel being caught, along with plenty if coalies .

I never seen any myself, so can't say for definite.

That's what happens when ya mam puts the soaps on every nite and ya have no control over the telly!:D

The stuff she watches bores the hell out of me, but gets engraved in my head, im becoming all timeless and emotional, like those novels!:D:o:D
