has anybdoy seen any mackerel being caught off Blyth pier, have been told that on some tides a few have taken up to twenty and one report of an angler getting 39, with only a couple of showing off the boats I am very sceptical "but would love to be proved wrong"

Or they might have been ill informed by someone hanging around the counter and talking sh*te.

Haha, thats just what i was thinking mate. It has to be a loads of bollucks like, it.may be possible to get the odd rare solitary mackerel coming inshore early, but not in any numbers that have been said there.

As g-force said, someone's telling some porkies, a can smell the bull**** coming out of whoevers mouth it is from here!:D:D

Anyways, I thought they started showing on the more southern shots first and worked their way up.

They can do...

A good friend of mine, Phil, who lives down south in Crawley, works as a fishing warden on brighton marina. Down there he's told me there catching plenty mackerel at a steady pace, even the odd squid and cuttlefish are being caught on spinners!.:D

Yep, thats generally the case.

Here's a thought for you. Av just txt Phil about the mackerel down there. Apparently, they've had them since mid - end of january!!:o
