UK sending 2 frigates up to the Shetlands in the wake of the Scotish v Iceland dispute over the landing of mackerel. Scottish boats have been stopping landings of mackerel at the ports and good on them as from what i understand the icelantic goverment have just said take what you want as loads of mackerel in the sea.
Have you seen the price of mackerel in the shops frsh or in tins, i am not suprised it is now a fish they are after.
Lets hope the population can make it through this period, i am sure a lot can remember the mackerel ban in the 90s, i had not been boat fishing long when it was inforced.
