Mackerel - Spinning.

Just wondering if it is worth a try for a few Mackerel at sunrise in the morning for a few hours or are they not in yet?. I'm looking to catch a few as me and the missus have a few recipes we would like to try with them as we haven't had Mackerel before.

Any advice would be great. Thank you.

It will be worth a try at high tide so that you have the best chance of fishing into clear water. Not many around but reports of the odd one and you also have the chance of coalies that seem to have come in of late, launce and odd pollack.

Get into clear water and you stand a chance anyway, Shields, Blyth and Roker pier all worth a bash.
