Anyone know if any mackerel are still being caught from the shore ?

Thecwater is like cola at the moment.I have not tried myself since the sea came away but i very much dout any will be caught on daylights/spinners.
As Alan said, we had them into Oct last year, i caught 24 on the 19th from Shields pier but the sea never came away until Mid Nov really last year.
I wont be trying for them anymore this year, boats still reporting loads being caught. Lad at work took his kids out from the pool on wed and caught a few hundred for sport.
