mackerel

There were a couple of extremely optimistic lads tossing tinsel off Shields today.

Only about three months too early.

A would'nt sound quite so correct mate...

Theres been a few lads feathering down there recently when I've been down and they've had some canny sport. It only small coalies and pollock being caught, but the odd 5 or 10 launce showing too.

Mind you, a must admit that your correct when you say its a bit early, for mackerel at least, but I've learned that when you begin to catch the launce, mackerel are usually between 3 and 6 weeks behind them.

Not long to go now lads!!:D

had a walk with my mam and dad on the pier at s/s today. asked someone if owt been caught lately and was told well the mackerel aint here yet .....hmmm no sugar sherlock.....
