according to the locker there was plenty macky on roker pier yesterday

Plenty on Warkworth pier this weekend Put feathers on to have a try and surprisingly got a full house. took a few more on a spinner and was plagued by big sandeel / launce ? Not one to fill bags I switched to flattie trace and did ok with a few plaice and flounders all returned bar a dozen mackies. Lovely quiet spot to fish. Tried fishing the beach Sunday evening in the hope of a turbot or bass but sea a bit rough and loads of weed spoiling my fun.

roker pier dead today one mackie and one herring landed .
also they closed the pier just after 1pm few splashes over the deck nothing big but they closed it.

That's a regular occurrence at Roker pier these days. Slightest onshore wind and they might close it. As you probably know it sometimes splashes up a bit off the foundations on the bend at low water but its OK after two hours up. Sometimes you can't rely on it being open unless it's flat as a witches.
