just gutted 17 very fine maki i caught off shields pier this morning. would have had more but the usual A holes were there pushing in casting over me etc. very good sport on my light gear. even seen some codling off the end taken on lures!! enjoy session

looks like there must be plenty mackerel coming off roker pier seen 2 kids walking up hylton road an hour ago spinning gear and with big smiles on there faces with a bag of mackerel each .they only looked about 10 yrs old nice to see kids with a bit sense fetching home there catch and not leaving them lying about on the piers

Me mate had 14 from shields pier yesterday. Need to get down meself, going to try and get down after work 1 night this week
