thinking of buying some hen crabs but not 100% sure what im using ie brown meat red coral all mixed together do you get rid of the feather parts has anyone got a video link on the start to finish to watch
or any advice cheers boys

I buy mine but was told to use as much coral and as little brown meat as possible. Drain as much water/fluid off as possible and add some salt. Gonna be a messy job I fear ;-)

ive bought some allready but just fancy having ago never even used it as bait but heard great things have you had much results using it

My suggestion would be to wait until one of the local tackle shops make a Facebook appeal for a catchy name for their cart. Make a suggestion for the name, wait a day and then go and collect your free cart. Worked for me. Canny I reckon.:D

As long as its rammed with coral, leaving the skin and brown meat in is ok.
good crabs ie full of coral hardly have any meat in them anyway its just skin filled with coral.
as long as the end product is very red then it will be ok.
i have no idea why anyone would put salt in it mind. No need at all to do that.

you will be looking at 10kg of whole live crab to get 1kg of good quality cart.
if ya getting more than that theres summit wrong.

at the minute the crabs are bang in season.

i average 4kg from 45kg of live crabs.

I have caught on it mate, first time I tried it I got a codling first chuck and pretty much hooked on it since then.
