haha, nice one. got aload of old lead piping so might try it myself if i can get ahold of a mould, although ill be doing it in the shed on a stove

Ha ha, I make mine all the time on a small camping stove ,in the garden ,they are really cheap now .and it saves the house stinking .But still what the wife dosent know ,we get away with

I think you'd be better off getting a stove connected to a propane bottle.

You can get about an hour out of them - use them in a sheltered spot to get best use out of it.

yeah about 1hr per canister ,and you get 8 from asda for a tenner .just saves doing it indoors

That’s what I thought many years ago and would have got away with it but the budgie took offence to the fumes and died.

Now I only melt lead outside using a big flat camping stove that connects to the bulk bottles of butane. It’s stable and can be speeded up with a blow torch.

If you lads want some moulds making giv me a bell with your design and i can make them to the nearest 0.1 of a mm,I have been cnc machining for about 20 years now and have made some crackers from spinners to complex moulding i will post a couple of pics if any one is interested,cheers ian(jenna lee).at a cost of course..

I've got a couple of drawings and ProE models if you can program from them, I tried to replicate the DCA 10oz Supazoom moulds, you can't get them now and mine are becoming worn.

I'd be interested in having a couple of moulds made, any idea of the cost?

I,ve got one of the camping stoves guys so i,ll have a look in the supermarket for some cannisters. I know its much better when its ventilated-i just get a kick out of using the oven when she,s out haha.
