Had Marks (Kayos) party booked from Scotland this Saturday. So i went down to the boat to check everything was ok and discovered a fresh water leak nothing to serious but i did'nt fancy going to sea until i could get it sorted and i could'nt get a fitter until Monday big problem my party had left and i did'nt want to let them down so i had a word with Charlie on the Lady Elsie and he said not to worry he would take them for me and he could'nt have been more helpful he tried his best to find the fish visiting wrecks ground and more wrecks i could'nt wish for a more helpful skipper so thank you Charlie i owe you one.

Couldn't agree more. Also my thanks to Jim for getting us sorted and for taking the time to meet us the night before and having a good chat over a beer. He also came out with us on Lady Elsie.

Charlie must have covered nearly 50 miles North and South, out as far as 13 miles too, in an effort to find the fish. The fact they didn't show was not his fault, or for the want of trying. Looking around the forum, boats out of the Tyne and Amble had a similarly bleak day.

Would recommend both Skippers and we are looking forward to finally getting out on North Star when we come back down in July.

Out of Sunderland tomorrow and Whitby on Thursday, so hoping for a change of luck.

Tight lines................... I hope!!
