mark X

Seeing as I was the author of the first mark x post a few years back I suppose I better throw my tuppence worth in, if I spend a lot of time and money looking for new marks and the best times to fish these said marks (which I do)I cant see why I should post the exact location when posting a catch report. The report in itself should tell anybody that knows what they are doing that there are fish in the area, If I am fishing marks that everyone knows about I post that I was fishing that specific mark. In the future I will just post catch report east coast of Scotland.

tz500 apologies from me , I was responding in a similar frame of mind. I agree with everything you said in your last post. Gordon, don\'t change the nature of your posts as a result of this thread m8.

Mark X = knowledge and experience of mark X.

I hope all your best friends and family are blanking at mark Y while you get your rocks off at your mark X and revel in the fact that your grandchildren are blanking at Y when U are fillingvyour wellies at X. Mark X people make our sporting day a sad scene and i

Forget it. If you dont win a prize Mr sad \"pro\" match angler who must have the table I will still respect your knowlege/experience if you respect a littkle bit of me. BTW, is your name Bert Langcaster?

I\'m with TZ500 and Gogs....Nowt worse than going to mark X and realising you can\'t get on, or if youre already there and people come down and start casxting over the top of you...or has happened to me before, someone comes down on a big sea and starts casting out with a plain lead....tangling everyone up with every single cast they make....Personal choice at the end of the day...

Being new to fishing, well after a 20 year layoff i consider myself new.
Yes i listen to advice and read the reports but i have also found that you can cast ten degrees in the wrong direction and either blank or snag.So nothing is a sure fire cert.
I also find the experience of learning and gaining knowledge about marks and how to fish better, part of the enjoyment of fishing.
Everyone is different and has to fish according to their ability and find and learn marks that suit them.
There is no point me fishing a mark that need a long cast,as yet my skill level ain\'t up to it and a duff back means it prob never will.
But i understand the hassle of people ruining a good spot,a friend of mine has started to join me and the difference of one year is obvious, casting over my line, wasting time with crap baits etc.
But just enjoy your fishing, always keep learning and leave it to others to decide if they wish to post advice, life is to short to worry over shit like that.

I\'ve been fishing Roker Pier for about 25 years now. During my youth, I collated every fish I caught, sea state, time of tide, size of tide etc etc. Using this info, I was able to see a pattern emerge of where on the pier to fish, and at what time, and in what conditions.

Now why should I, after all this homework, let every Tom dick and Harry know? If they\'re too lazy not to do their homework - tough.

cant see a problem with mark Xs ,theres always the PM if you want to find out a mark but it does get annoying when you dont get a reply to the pm or if you specificly ask,.one problem with naming a mark when youve had a good bag is you go down the next night and cant swing a cat for anglers

not that ive had a good bag

Agree with Davyred on this one,If ya do your\'e homework it\'s takes a lot of time so why share over the net!
Now if one of the nesa lads asked if I could show them a mark which they could mebbe have a chance of fish, then that would be ok,of course the answer would be show me your best mark first matey...cheers

YAWN
lets drop this thread now as its getting boring
and mark x is now dead and buried
its in Scotland end of story.

thought the idea of a FISHING forum was to SHARE information with fellow anglers.

the info Ive received whilst on here has been excellent Ive learned everything from rods to line, bait to rigs times etc etc etc and very grateful for it now if someone has fished a spot and done well then good on them end of story if I find my own spot that fishes well then good on me I hope this thread doesn\'t stop people on here posting that they have done well on a mark(catch report)as I like to hear of the guys on nesa doing allright ...agree with gordon yawn

Paul how did you manage that mate you said it twice.
Agree with you and Gordon, my point was it seemed i little childish, show me your mark first then I\'ll show you mine ffs, apologies mate if you did\'nt mean to say it like that, think this thread has had its day as Gordon says its in Scotland ;)

Ok lads apologies.reading back it does seem childish and I\'m not in the business of trying to get peoples hackles in a ruffle.enough.

I\'ve did it before and probably many others, you leave a post then read it later, you think ahhhhhhhh that sounds silly :D ,never got my back up mate, its a discussion forum after all :D
