I fished this today for the first time. It is near the now closed Garland's Call Centre and was Brigham and Cowan's Market Dock. I fished here as I thought at the Walkway the tide would be too fierce. I fished from about 3.30pm until 7.30pm.
I caught 1 crab, 1 small coalie and a whiting of 34 cms. The bloke next to me caught a couple of small coalies and a whiting.
The river being wider here than the Walkway the tide was not as fierce (though bad enough). There was quite a bit of seaweed. I lost no tackle which was a bonus.
It was well lit when it got dark and I may take my bairn here to fish. A canny little spot really!
