Hi all
Just after a bit of sport tonight, taking my light ledger set up and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for a session along the tees near Stockton tonight, got black lug and Macrel and 1.0 hooks 4 oz flat leads, was going to head out around high water to try fined some plaice, flounder, bass along this stretch of the river,
Hered good things about the glass centre but not sure we're this is ?

Thanks in advance

Is this stretch tidal if not you will probably need a licence to fish it, other than that i rekon the only fish you'll pickup will the be odd flounder

you wont get plaice that far up river, doubt youd see a bass either. you should be in with a chance of a flounder or eel but after lots of attempts i failed to find any. good luck and let us know how you get on.

You need to be below the barrage mate, might still be a few flounder up at stockton. Most the rest of the river will produce flounder, better off down near the river mouth north or south side more chance of different species.

Thanks guys I'll head to north Gare then near the power plant but go in the morning tide,

Dose anyone no were the vid on YouTube is filmed, sandman tackle has compotitions on the river tees, wondered were it was ?

Thanks

Paul doesn't do the comps any more mate and they were at the river wear Sunderland and the glass centre is at the wear as well Brew

Very unlikely you will get Plaice upriver. You get some good fish from the Slab area of Shields pier (and a few from the Back Middens over North Shields) but generally speaking they like clear water and sandy / shingle bottom rather than river water and estuary mud.

never heard of any comps on the tees in fact you rarely hear of anyone fishing in the actual river let alone catching anything. i tried to organise comps on there getting local companies involved but couldnt get past the coast guard.
