I haven't long been moved to the Hebburn/Jarow area and was wondering if anyone knows any good marks in this area? I was out at the pelaw end of hebburn marina 1 flatty and an Eel but thats about it, it was canny snaggy too:)....So like I said anyone got any good marks:)

Hebburn marina used to fish quite well mate during the winter, decent codling and whiting but usually during darkness. I never really fished it during the day but guess it is the usual bag of flatties and smaller stuff. Defo stick to the Pelaw end though as all the mooring ropes at the other end will have your gear everytime

As said, Church Bank is a good spot. I never lose any gear there, nice clean ground apart from the tyres close in. I've always caught more fish at the spot you have already fished at the far end of the marina. I usually fish off the bit with the boards and don't lose much gear if I hit the middle of the river.
Near the police launch in Jarrow is not a bad spot either, but you do need a rod stand as you are fishing from the river bank.
Hope this is a help.

pedestrian tunnel jarrow (room for 2)or just by the gas tank(jarra park.hebburn marina at the boat club(fish between the moorings next to the slipway)church bank nearer the sea cadets(the wall end can get snaggy)the mesh (the other side of the sea cadets)low water mark (you will see why.)top of the marina(opposite the two cranes)
