Fished marsden today first chuck resulted in a wrasse not sure if its a Ballan or not the third chuck resulted in a 38 cm Kelpy cod all fish returned any anyone can help with I'd of the wrasse would be appreciated tight lines

Clean cod that mate doesn't really look like it been in the kelp but well done on the catch. Yes that's a Ballan wrasse

It was a weird one mate was lovely and brown then on the box it looked that way and thanks for the I'd too first wrasse for me very chuffed with that one

No bother mate just from the pic it looks like it has a nice clean white belly. Wrasse are a great fish to catch they very powerful for there size

Nice one mate.I was down there for a couple of hours this evening lure fishing of the back of camels but knew i wouldnt catch as soon as i saw there was still some colour in the water.Wished i`d taken the big rods now

Nice mate. Where abouts was this? Want to get myself down marsden with the big rod soon, I only live just up the road. Not sure what spot yet though.
