Gonna take the boy down for a few hours beach fishing on Sunday. I know it's a small tide and a crap time of year but what's your thoughts on time of tide. Either side of high water or either side of low water. Any advice appreciated.
i tryed this last weekend and boy was i wrong to go there, we got there at 5am set up but the tide kept pushing that fast we gave up and went to roker pier, we we to the left of the rock onthe clean ground.
unless there is a area u can fish with out moving.
Going down myself on Sunday from about 1-6, just doing a bit flatty bashing, worm tipped with Mackerel seems to work best, either in front of the pub or the pinnacle.
There are kelp beds directly in front of the grotto, near the north east corner of marsden rock. Go a bit more to the left (north) for cleaner ground. I've had more success at high tide there.
