marsden,saturday night.

had a 6hour session,fished in front of grotto.
plenty lights about,but just Olly {from stanley}at this shot.
olly lands a small Bass,then 1st cast i get the same.
by this time tofish my intended shot,back of marsden rock,lad out of s/s club already on it.
no fish for both of us,tide push made us eventually have to move off rock.
goes back fishing next to olly,he only had 3 codling all around the 2lb weight.so i had actually moved away from the fish.
anyway ollys away no,i stopped till approx 12.15,caught my 2nd bass,aswell as plenty under sized coalies.
theres always the next session.

yeah its not like it used to be seems that unless you have caught a 30lb monster you dont get much response
I have never fished down the grotto is it a low or high water shot

FISHED the area{since i was a bairn},like most shots,imo 100% like most fishing marks,fishes best on l/w up to h/w.
as said mind thats just me.
had some good doubled figured cod,yes long time ago,from the said area.
had all up to 17lb,BAR a 16lb COD,but im still trying for that 1,LOL..
PS,darkness 100% if possible..
