Marsdon then Hendon

So decided to go fishing due to being rained off from work so headed to the tackle shop for the first time this year. Got my bits n pieces and headed off to Marsdon where I discovered I'd tool 2 waterproof jackets instead of a jacket and trousers :-( but still went fishing just got soggy legs. Only fished Marsdon for an hour or so as their was so much weed in the water so headed off to Hendon instead. Arrived about 4pm and the water was still a canny way out but fished next to the cliffs. Very slow to start the got a cod about 3/4 of a lb. about 20 mins or so later got a slack liner and pulled In my first size cod of the season just shy of 3lb. Missed a few more cracking bites the. Caught a Rocking to finish off and ran out if bait so had no choice but to call it a night

Well done getting a couple out. You did better than me tonight, I fished the 2nd bay and ended up with the chequebook and pen; couple of missed bites and lost one on the retrieve but hey ho.

Loads of rods down there tonight and only saw the odd one come in around me so looks like you chose the right end to fish

Haha cheers Joe. I'm leaving the pike fishing a little longer off to Loch Stroan with Steve Scott in October so gonna hammer the sea fishing in the mean time. And as for the Skydiving that's a weekend thing

Thought I saw you drive past me, the sea seemed spot on yesterday and I thought they'd come on after dark as well but not even the Whiting were out to play. Still, once the drizzle stopped it was a lovely evening to be out
