fished shields pier with grant and james couple of lads down said it had been quite other than hauge,s fish.1st cast grant caught 1 2lb 8ozs, then james got 1 2lb 6ozs followed by another 2 fish each and i caught 2 aswell all codlings not a bad night smallest 1lb 6ozs

You's certainly beat me caught nowt after you left, so me and larry (my lobster i caught) walked off the pier at midnight, me, sas and his mate were shocked to see a youngster fishing 70 yards up from the hut at the bottom of the peir with a decent whiting and a codling about 4lb so all the fish were in the bay !.

Well done - lad looks over the moon. Me and my mate Ian fished the spot a week or so ago and there was a big seal lolling about in the strong current. Looked to be a tackle loss nightmare due to tide run.
