middens???

Is the small beach in front on the low lights carpark at north shields called the middens looking out towards the tyne entrance??

I mate that's middens beach I fished to left on the prom last night marks called sandy goyte only 1 fish for 3lb and never lost any gear can be snaggy in places though.first time fishing it for cod normally fish it in summer for flatties and plaice.

It might be worth having a look down the middens beach at low water before you fish it so you can see where the rocks are as you can lose gear

fish the beach from prom at high water should not lose too much gear now as know tyres down there council have took them out.
