Middle docks

Fished here for a few hours today from 4pm till 7pm with a few mates wind was realy bad which made it hard notice bites but first 3 casts resulted in 3 sized whiting for me mate then I pulled 1 in second cast. It came to half 6 and the wind got a bit much for me mate who was driving so said he was only having 1 more cast then leaving so we all reeled in baited up and chucked our last cast out, the lad who was driving reeled in first which resulted in a small flounder, me other 2 mates had nothing then I pulled in a nice little 2lb'er. Turned out a canny little session just wish I could of stayed longer but never mind gunna get out the mora to use the rest of me bait. All fish went back except the cod. Baits used was squid, rag, frozen crab and frozen blacks

Nice one mate. Is that Middle Docks in South Shields? I didn't know you could fish there. How do you get onto the mark and where is the best place to park? Cheers.

Cheers mate, yes its in shields we park infront of the pub think its called the rose and crown never have any bother and theres all ways a load of cars there, the fence u need to climb over is just rite infront of the pub aswell. The fence is realy easy to climb

it can be a good shot ive had sum good fish from there but went last nite was rubbish mate fishing right over to the left or down the ramp can be a good shot short lobs bout 40 yards and u can get sum good bags

Nice one Cris, I didn't know you could still fish there. I fished that place a few times as a kid with me mates, I would of thought the wooden jetties would of collapsed by now I dunno why I thought that like.

Yeah mate you can fish therebut ya rite the wooden jettys are on their way out I wouldnt recommend goin on them but as totty said you can fish when u first come down the ramp or walk round the two docks to your left and fish rite near Mcnultys theres a big wall there gives you some shelter
