Middle eye re-fit on a rod

After 5 years use one of the eyes on my boat rod has seen its last cod/ling...anybody on here close to Gateshead that re-fits rings? i have a new one just need the old one cut off and re-wiped on/varnished. Please pm if anyone can do it with a price...happy to pay up front as want this rod for tope fishing in a couple weeks time.
