Hi lads just want a little bit info of ya good selves I have seen quite a few posts regarding this mark but ain't got a clue how to fish it is it best in darkness ? Do you need to cast long or short ? And whats the best state of tide to fish cheers in advance for any info

all right mate i would normaly fish at low water same as meggies burn further along and back of the farm.
as far as i kmow 2hrs either side of low water is best theres two sand bars and in between theses is the channel the first sandbar is quite wide was fishing beach on fri night tide was 0.40mtrs so we were standing on first sandbar casting in to channel if you fish small tides make sure you clear fist sandbar
distance wise depends if fish are feeding close in or not so any where from 50to 100 yards depends on size of tides too

best fished in darkness as well

blyth beach is a waste of time in daylite hours m8, unless its flounders your after. the beach is 2 shallow so dont hold out 4 any better fish unless u can wack a lead 2 the horizon.

Best two hours either side low water. Vary casts til you find them. In dark.

But, having said that, my PB whiting (1lb 6oz) and PB codling (4lb) were caught in daylight on Blyth Beach. It's possible.

I wouldn't exactly say a waste of time. Chris Stringer was 2nd behind me in an open 2 years ago off it in daylight with 5 codlings for 8lb!

So It can can happen.

yep thats right m8 but chris can wack a lead a long way, i could'nt get anywhere near as far as needed in daylite as i do most my fishing on the skeers.

Just fished here for 3 1/2 hours over the low tide.

Conditions weren't exactly favourable but I managed three undersized whiting and five flatties, two of which were keepers.

Might try again tonight in the dark, but a good way to spend the morning...

A caught a 53cm sea trout day after boxing day about dinnertime so always worth a daft session during day if at loose end and there was a 31 flattie on bottom hook same cast

Just got back from a fishless evening session.

Almost three hours without so much as a knock and then one hard thump, which came to nothing.

Still beats a night in front of the TV
