While I accept that racial abuse is not acceptable...is it a case whereby certain creeds are "untouchable" when it comes to satirical humour?

Or is the PC state pandering to a minority for fear of offending them?

i agree that racial abuse is not acceptable, but this is just a headline. He wanted to come to this country. I am sure he wont whine about his wages at the end of the month. Planes come to this country they also Leave it too.

Satirical humour has always been in football and always will ,look at Gazza for instance how much stick did he soak up , it's just part of the game .
To quote one terrace shout " he shoots ,he scores ,he'll eat your labrador "" , along the same lines as throwing mars bars at Gazza ,not nasty at all .

Not at all in my book ,just terrace banter .
You fat barsteward isn't a nice thing to have shouted at you but if you see the humour in it then it's just daft banter ,again Gazza used to thrive on it .

A lad i know was at the game with his brother,he's a black muslim and was singing with the Toon fans,just banter but probably not PC now

There is a difference. 'Mido is a bomber' is not racist but 'Fat lazy ozzie' is!

The muslim faith is not a race but a creed, any race can follow it freely of their own accord. The chant maybe bordering on secular but thats it.

Calling Viduka a fat Ozzie most definetly is racist. Implying Mido is a bomber because he is muslim is not. Race does not come into it.

Racial abuse cannot be justified but this wasnt racial abuse. Just like Steve said its just terrace banter. The toon support also chanted 'Mido the paedo', so where do we draw line?

Kiddie fiddling chants = ok, muslim bomber chants = bang out of order???

I think the whole thing has been "blown up" out of all proportion!!
