Thinking about fishing the mill dam tomorrow next to the customs house, has anyone fished here and wats it like? Heard it was snaggy and a lot of crabs??

shoud'nt worry about crabs much too cold with the weather we have lately
not sure bout it being snaggy only fished there once and had no problem, tide may be bit of a problem its a fair size still the mora but may produce fish.

a was on pier bout 7area tonight and a mate of got a call saying a mate of his had 3 cod up to 3.5lb in middle dock which is right next to mill dam so it might pay off going there

Yer I've heard been told about there, how do u get in tho? From what I've seen it's all fenced off and apparently there's security checks on it. What bait was he using and what tide?

fished the customs house a couple of times. Tends to be little 'uns from that area. I've never pulled anything big in from there

fished there a few times never had a problem with either snags or crabs
