just bought one of those of ebay from hong kong.
thought it would be great for spinning up scotland.
got it today and.......the reel is only 2inch wide..spool about 2cm wide.
£18 down :(

a no but ...enyways may still get some use of spinning with it...think i\'ll take ti down to mill damm to see what the casting is like.

Might be worth you having a word with Jim (willywetegg) about mini reels, Jonny.
Last year he showed me a tiny multiplier he uses for spinning with.....looks the dogs doo-dahs and he says he loves using it.

never really thought of using a Multiplier for spinning saying that Mark and Jim use them plus most of the USA that fish using spinners, prefer the fixed spool myself

Put that one down to experience mate :(

You could have had a 2nd hand Shakespeare Contender baitcasting reel for about £12. I\'ve got 2, great little reels for spinning with level winds and cast control. I use an Abu TGC5000C now, filled with braid, the dogs doo dahs :D

Jonny,
It\'s not a mini - multiplier, but if you\'re stuck for a spinning reel for when you go to Scotland, you can borrow my Okuma Undertaker............It\'ll just be sitting on the shelf otherwise

thats what I use, excellent reel for the price, there was a guy selling them on Ebay for £14 plus post (post was at cost as well)

They are nice reels Tony, it would be a shame if it got damaged, I know from experience how easy it is to trash tackle over there (and ankles :( )

Jonny, I have a small Masterline Debut 45 fixed spool reel that doesn\'t get used and is perfect for spinning, freelining, floats etc. You can have it if you want it, then no big deal if it gets trashed (I\'ll even throw in a handful of jelly worms and some fresh line if you\'re stuck mate ;) )

They ARE lovelly reels to use, Alan......very smooth.....and for the price........excellent :exclam:
