Headed down the boat this afternoon, with intentions of sanding the wood tops down and giving them a coat or two of oil.

But driving down to Seaham it was looking like a possible trip out on looking at the sea :D

So we headed straight out, it was a little lumpy but were getting used to it now

Straight off to some rough ground and it was a steady flow of codling all afternoon till we headed in for about 4 when the wind stepped up a gear and drift was nee good.

Some fish were a little bigger this week with a few around the 5 lb mark but mostly 3-4 lb'ers putting up a good scrap as ever.

Kept a few fish but put most back to hopefully catch another day.

Back at the marina it seemed most had caught fish so happy days :)
Good bunch of lads down at seaham.

Great report Martin, still plenty on the rough ground, but as usual the weather (and fishfinder) spoiled it a bit....:)

P.S. The wood can wait...;)

Gotta take your chances when you can, bit of a bonus day out today considering how the forcast was stacking up before the weekend. Plenty of fish out there at the moment could just do with the average size getting a bit bigger........still beats going out and not finding any fish and like you say they do scrap in shallow water on a bit of lighter gear.
