ive got a ttld and a ttsmld, use them in the tyne for flatties, coalies ect and ill use them on clean beaches when sea not to big, casts 5 oz plus bait, the other rod i have is a mighty thin, not used yet but feels like a good rough ground rod,im looking for a rod for clean and mixed ground(lynemouth-blyth-whitley-tynemouth ect)il use the ttld on cleaner parts of these beaches but want something with a stiifer tip that will chuck 6oz and be ok with bigger seas.is there a rod that sits in between the ttld,s and the mighty thin.would the komp s do,or what other century rod
cheers

a sonic sk4 5-7 is prime mate, nice light, maybes a little stiff but i love mine.

Also have the 16ft sk4 which i love for EVERYTHING, from 3oz flat lead and two hook flappers, pelting out clipped wishbones with a 5oz gripper, to wacking a 6oz pennel, and for the pier its brilliant for bringing fish up, still stiff enough and long enough so they dont wack into the wall.... just can be a bit of a pig to cast
