Me nd me dad went up st abbs for first light yesterday and after a canny little walk down the steep bank 2 th crocs back we were on the mark for about half 4. When we got dwn th sea looked spot on for it so thought i wud try th spinners 4 a change rather thn use the bait rod while th old man set up th bait rod. It did'nt take long before i got my 1st take on th spinner which was a nice pollock about 3lb but unfortunetly it droped off as i was trying 2 lift it up th rock:( so straight back out nd started 2 hit th coalies which were just under a pound managed 5. Me dad was'nt havin much luck on th bait rod so he decided 2 put th daylites on nd it did'nt take him long 2 start hiting th coalies he was pulling 3s up nd sumtyms gettin a full set nd they were a gud size aswell sum of thm must hav been close to 2lb. As it died off 4 me on th spinner thought i wud try a change of tactic so out came th rubber sand eel nd after a couple of casts a nice pollock of about 3.5 lb hit is nd this tym instead of tryin 2 swing it up th cliff i went dwn nd lifted it up :) was over th moon as its me biggest pollock upto nw. After a few more casts it seemed 2 die off so we decided 2 call it a day at about 10 so all in all a canny mornin session me dad ended up wiv about 30 coalies nd a had a couple of nice pollock nd 5 coalies well worth th trip.:D
