Morning session on Shields Pier

Nothing much to report really, I fished from 5:30 to about 11:00 using frozen peeler and taking along a spinning rod just in case. Caught 3 small codling about ten inches long and 6 similar sized coalies, with only one coley reaching any size ( about 15 inches). The small tide made little headway against the freshwater in the river and the set seemed stuck between the piers. At that point I gave up any ideas of mackerel and called it a day.

It's nice to read a catch report I was beginning to think everybody's gave up at least there was no blank well done
