Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone was using one of the MTI 20/40 boat rods, just wanting
to know what they performed like /pros and cons etc.
Any info appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Lingking.
Yeah I read the reviews and they seem to think pretty highly of them.
Only problem I have with the reviewers is its all about pushing the product and
half them couldnt lie straight in bed.
I just thought one or two of the guys on here might be using them, and to get
there honest opinions. I think I might just go for the 15lb class and have some
fun on the wks with the shads, long gone are the days of a pirks and three muppets.

move with the times dave we have used light rods for years :o:o;)

:) yer go for the light rod, i ahve used a 8lb-12lb class rod for years for wrecking and love it, apart from playing a tope on it never had a problem winning the battles against fish and getting them moving before being snagged up.

Shads? whats them.......road work orange tape with cut tdown t-spoons i use and 80lb mono straight through :)

How do you all cope with strong tides and fast drifts with your light rods  I fish as light as possible , but when it's hard to get to and hold the bottom and a lot of lead is needed the light rods just aren't up to it.
I can play and land fish on light tackle no bother , but I hate heavy leads on light gear.

I never use more than 10oz and mainly use 6-8oz of lead no matter what the drift is like, if its too bad for a 10oz its time to go back in or fish the rough ground.

I me and Jeff taught you all you know and you come out with statements like that, you
know the way we fish !!!!!!.
Anyway hows the body nowadays, the Ticker and BP still holding up !!!!!!
One more week drilling holes in the sand then home on the 15th, had the boat out at h/pool last trip so its ready for the winter season. (will be too cold for you lot)
Will give you a buzz when I am home, by the way your old handlines still on the boat.
